Organizing Your Own Cornhole
Tournament
Cornhole is a great game that is slowly gaining in
popularity. More people every year are discovering the game of
cornhole and how fun it is to play.
That’s why it’s a good idea to get a bunch of people
together to play Cornhole. You can do this by organizing a
tournament. But you may not know how to do this. So, here
are some tips for organizing a Cornhole tournament, all the
way down to which bean sacks you need to buy.
The first of the tips for organizing a Cornhole tournament
is to get the word out about the tournament. After all, you
won’t be able to hold a tournament if you don’t have any
players.
Something else you’ll have to do at the beginning is to
decide whether you want a single elimination tournament, a
double elimination tournament, or a round robin competition.
For the most part, tournaments with many players will have to
be single elimination and tournaments with jus a few players
should be round robin.
The next step is you’ll have to sign-up all the players and
then try to break them into brackets or divisions. Depending
how much you know about the players, you may want to make seeds
that will rank the players by how good they are and put them on
the appropriate platforms.
Next, let the players know when and where they’ll be
playing.
Once you’ve done all of this then you’ve basically completed
the tips for organizing a Cornhole tournament before the actual
tournament.
The day of the tournament you’ll have to make sure you have
enough cornhole sets so that multiple teams can
play at the same time. You’ll also want to make sure that
everyone knows who, when, and where they’re supposed to
play. Having trophies for the winner and possibly the
runner-up will put a nice touch on the tournament.
Of course there are many other tips for organizing a
Cornhole tournament. The tips we just discussed will get you
started in organizing and hosting a tournament.
